Two travelers who returned to the country after a trip to Jamaica, have been arrested with a little more than seven pounds of cocaine in their luggage, last week, to the Toronto Pearson international airport.
The arrest took place on 22 march, when border services officers conducted a routine inspection of the luggage of the two suspects.
“During the examination, officers discovered that the travellers were carrying each of six containers that had been reported as being coffee,” said the border services Agency in a press release issued Wednesday morning.
Customs officers opened the containers and discovered the cocaine concealed.
The drug and the two travellers were entrusted to the royal Canadian mounted police, which is responsible for the result of the investigation.
