Dr. Jean-François Rancourt, recently convicted of sexual misconduct on a patient to the College of physicians, comparaitra again Friday morning to 11 counts in such matters.

“The investigation department of the major crimes of the Sûreté du Québec has arrested a man of 56 years of Montmagny yesterday (Thursday). It comparaitra this morning (Friday) at the palais de justice de Montmagny,” says Claude Denis, spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec.
To date, investigators have identified 10 victims, aged between 20 and 40 years, depending on the SQ.
At the end of the month of may last, Dr. Rancourt had acknowledged his guilt of having put the finger in the vagina of a lady suffering. A month later, six new patients have lodged a complaint against the family doctor, to gestures of a sexual nature.
The complaint, filed at the end of the month of June totals 11 counts of the offence to gestures of a sexual nature posed between 2013 and 2017.
The syndic of the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) has asked the disciplinary Board Dr. Jean-François Rancourt is cancelled emergency (temporarily) to protect the public.
The SQ is asking the public to him send all information that pertains to Dr. Rancourt. It is not impossible that there might have been other victims who have not manifested themselves.
