A young woman from Laval is inconsolable. Two thieves stole her “baby”, a pug of seven months named Squishy, entering by breaking into her condo last may.

“I want to find it. I want my baby back,” says the 23-year old girl.

Animal lover, Nurit Aizenstros has not stopped searching for Squishy since she was stolen from her, it has been almost two months.

“I called the Berger Blanc and SPCA. I have looked at all the ads on Kijiji and Craigslist. I put ads on pages Facebook of Laval. No one has seen my little dog to love,” laments she.

    Well prepared

On 18 may, two robbers entered the building where Nurit Aizenstros was living with her boyfriend, on the rue Notre-Dame-de-Fatima, Laval.

“They opened the main door with a screwdriver in two seconds. These guys knew what they were doing,” said the officer, Evelyn Boudreau, of the police of Laval.

Taking care not to show their faces to surveillance cameras, the suspects broke into three condos.

The two men, who could have between 20 and 35 years old, stole jewelry, clothing, as well as a laptop computer, among others. And they took Squishy, a baby pug – better known under the English name “pug”. There was neither a medal nor a microchip.

On a surveillance video captured outside the building, we see one of the two thieves try to pull the pug with an improvised leash. The little dog is reluctant to move forward, then the man takes it in his arms to leave.

    First dog

Beyond its purchase price of$ 1200, Squishy had a great sentimental value for Nurit Aizenstros, because it was his first dog. It is irreplaceable in his eyes.

The young woman brought Squishy with her everywhere. Everywhere, except to his work in a restaurant in Laval.

Moreover, it is during her tenure that his pug was stolen. On the way home, she had a message from the police. “I freaked out, let it fall. I yelled his name and I started to cry sitting on the floor. After that, I turned my condo in to. It wasn’t anywhere.”

The young woman does not understand why we had stolen his dog. “Maybe he came to steal something else and he took the dog because it is too cute. Otherwise, it is for the resell, and it scares me”, she notes.
