SHERBROOKE – A young father of 19-year-old is accused of aggravated assault on his young child, Sherbrooke.

What are pediatricians physicians of the CIUSSS of the eastern Townships-I have reported the case to the police officers of Sherbrooke in the afternoon on Thursday.

After a short investigation, they have arrested the suspect at his home in the borough of Bromptonville. This last would be a young man without a history and without a criminal record.

The little boy aged just six weeks, would have been taken to the hospital Monday evening, in a state of convulsions, and experiencing respiratory problems.

Initially, it was believed that it was flu-like symptoms. The examinations carried out by physicians show rather that it would be a case of shaken baby.

Given the police investigation surrounding the events, the medical authorities will make no comment on the state of health of the infant. It would be too early anyway, it seems, to pronounce on the possible after-effects that the child could keep.
