PONT-ROUGE | Office of investigations, was in charge of an investigation concerning an event that occurred Sunday afternoon outside of the position of the Sûreté du Québec in Pont-Rouge near Quebec city.

According to preliminary information, one person has been hit by a bullet outside the police station, in the boulevard Notre-Dame. A police officer may have fired one or more shots.

A security perimeter was erected around the fenced yard located to the rear and on the side of the police station.

The EIB has indicated on Twitter in the late afternoon that he was going to give more information on this event in the following hours.

The EIB has just taken charge of a survey in Pont-Rouge. A press release will be issued in a few hours.
