Snowmobile Accident near lake Manawan: a 54 year old man loses life

SAINT-MICHEL-DES-SAINTS | A 54 year old man has died in a snowmobile accident that occurred Saturday in the area of the lake Manawan, about 150 km north of Saint-Michel-des-Saints.

According to the information obtained by the Sûreté du Québec, the man, who was part of a group of snowmobilers, lost control of his vehicle and rammed into a tree.

The accident occurred at about 17 h.

The man was rushed by helicopter during the night of Saturday to Sunday, up to a hospital. He did not survive his injuries.

The surete du Quebec has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of this accident and the cause of death.
