South central: a man succumbs to his injuries after a fight

MONTREAL – A dispute in an apartment of the rue Beaudry, Montreal, has turned to the drama, while a 55-year-old lost his life, Saturday.

A man of 61 years is considered by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) as the main suspect of the murder and was apprehended on the spot. According to Andréanne Picard, spokesperson for the SPVM, it would be possibly the brother of the victim.

The assault occurred around 17: 20, Saturday. The victim was transported to the hospital, where his death has been found.

The suspect was to undergo his examination in the course of that day, Sunday, which would allow to confirm or not his involvement in the murder, and the circumstances surrounding the dispute that has turned ugly.

This is the fourth murder occurred on the island of Montréal since the beginning of the year, according to the SPVM.
