A car that makes talking to
By placing a Tesla in a rocket of SpaceX, Elon Musk is a nod to the new Roadster unveiled last November. Promised for 2020, this future model of Tesla could become the production car, the fastest ever built.
According to Tesla, the Roadster will go from 0 to 60 miles per hour (97 km/h) in 1.9 seconds and can reach 100 miles per hour (160 km/h) in 4.2 seconds. “And this, this is the base model,” quipped Elon Musk, ensuring that versions even more performance could be revealed at a later time.
The Tesla, which takes place on board the rocket, however, is a model of the first generation, manufactured by the manufacturer in california from 2008 to 2012.
