LAC-DES-ÉCORCES | route 117 had to be closed in both directions Monday night at the height of Lac-des-Écorces, near Mont-Laurier, in Laurentides, in reason of a spill of diesel from a tank truck.
After a loss of control, the truck, a semi-trailer overturned, said the Sûreté du Québec, adding that it had struck at least a Hydro-Québec pole in his swing, and a large perforation in the tank left to drain the fuel.
The driver was transported to the hospital, but suffered no serious injuries, said Hélène Nepton, a spokesman for the SQ.
The accident occurred at about 19 h.
Teams of the departments of Environment and Transport, as well as of Hydro-Québec have been dispatched to the scene.
