Stephens delighted the public by accessing the semi-finals at Flushing Meadows

New York — Sloane Stephens delighted the audience by surprising the Latvian Anastasija Sevastova 6-3, 3-6 and 7-6 (4) Tuesday, reaching the semi-finals of International tennis in the United States.

 

The American 24-year-old, 83rd in the world, and moved off the road the 16th head series.

 

Stephens has never been behind in the tie-breaker, where Sevastova has committed five unforced errors. Stephens shined with hit a winner crosscourt, to 2-1, and then she has triumphed with a superb backhand in parallel.
