GATINEAU – A contractor of Gatineau has recently been ordered to pay fines totalling close to $ 85,000 for tax fraud, reported Tuesday Revenu Québec.

According to Revenu Québec, the contractor acknowledged that it had deliberately failed to deliver the amounts of taxes to the tax authorities in not producing income tax returns for 2011 to 2015.

“The survey of Income Quebec revealed that Mr. Lépine, who operated a sole proprietorship doing business under the social reasons SMC System and System SMC, did not give the amounts of taxes collected in the framework of its business activities. It was the sale and installation of cash registers and sales recording modules (SRM),” said Revenu Québec in a press release.

In addition, Revenu Québec has removed to Mr. Lépine’s authorization to installer of MEV.
