The period of income tax return will begin Monday, announced the federal minister of national Revenue, Diane called to order.

“I would like to remind Canadians that it is imperative for them to file their return of income, to access benefits, such as the allocation of canadian children, and credits [which] could represent an important financial support for many families,” she said by press release.

Canadians can complete their income tax return by filling out a form either online or in paper version. This last has already been posted to two million people in the country.

According to the Canada revenue Agency (CRA), the Canadians prefer, however, the electronic version. According to statistics, 90 % of the 25 million returns filed have been by the Internet in the last year.

For the first time this year, the ARC also offers people with low income or whose financial situation does not change from one year to the other to produce for them their statement. Up to 950,000 individuals are eligible for this measure, according to the CRA, which is to answer a few questions by phone.

Québec taxpayers can also file their income tax returns online, with the Netfile service.
