An Air Canada flight from Toronto to Ottawa has had to turn back because of a problem in engines on Friday night.

Shortly after the takeoff of flight AC 476, to 19 h 30, the pilot was forced to return to Toronto’s Pearson airport.

A witness who was at a barbecue not far from the airport was entrusted to the “Toronto Star” that he saw a kind of “big ball of fire” coming from the left engine. He also heard a big “bang”. “It was pretty loud”, he told.

A spokesperson for the carrier has assured the newspaper torontonians that the aircraft has landed safely before being supported by the emergency response teams. The device should then be inspected. No one was injured.
