TERREBONNE | A vehicle caught fire after it broke a Hydro-Québec pole in the night from Friday to Saturday in the area of La Plaine, Terrebonne, and alcohol and speed could be the cause of this accident that resulted in the two wounded.
It was first feared for the life of one of the two occupants, a man of 25 years, but he would finally be out of danger, said Saturday afternoon the police Department inter-municipal Terrebonne/Ste-Anne-des-Plaines/Bois-des-Filion.
In the evening, investigators met with the other person involved in this accident, a woman of 23 years to determine if it was she who was behind the wheel.
It is only the arrival of emergency shortly after 3: 30 p.m., at the intersection of the row Line-the Square and the boulevard Laurier, the two occupants were already out of the vehicle.
“Charges of driving under the influence causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm could be brought subsequently against the 23-year old woman,” said the captain Benoît Bilodeau, stating that the investigation was continuing.
Technicians in crime scene investigation went on site to reconstruct the course of events in order to learn more about the circumstances and causes of the accident, which has required the closure of Laurier boulevard, in both directions, between the way Gauthier and the northern limits of the city of Terrebonne.
