    The couple of ex-students of the Collège Maisonneuve has just been found not guilty of terrorism charges. Only one of the accused has been found guilty of being in possession of explosive substances without legitimate reasons.

    “Not guilty “, has launched the president of the jury, this morning at the palais de justice of Montreal.

    Sabrine Djermane, 21 years old, and El Mahdi Jamali, 20 years old, were covered by three charges in connection with terrorism.

    They were accused of having attempted to leave the country to commit a terrorist act abroad, to have had in their possession explosive substances, and of having committed a crime for the benefit of a terrorist organization.

    Djermane has been paid on the line, while Jamali has been found guilty on the only head lower to have had in his possession explosive substance without legitimate reasons.

    During the trial, the defence had argued that the evidence was not sufficient to convict their clients, who had not testified.
