Auto thieves are becoming more and more truck (or pick-up), reveals the annual list of the ten vehicles most often stolen in Quebec, published today by the insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC).

After having been the prerogative of thieves for years, sport utility vehicles (SUVS) will cede the field to the trucks.

While for several years the SUV trônaient in the top of the list of the top 10 most stolen vehicles, the thieves seem to want to expand their market. Indeed, in this new classification, four stolen vehicles out of ten are light trucks, three SUVS, two are sedans and there is also a crossover.

The top 10 of the Quebec

This year, the ten vehicles most often stolen in Quebec are:

• TOYOTA TRUCK/VAN 4RUNNER 4P 2016 (SUV)
• TOYOTA TRUCK/TUNDRA 4WD 2015 (van)
• TOYOTA TRUCK/VAN 4RUNNER 4P 2015 (SUV)
• BMW 328i CONVERTIBLE-2009 (sedan)
• INFINITI TRUCK/VAN QX70 4P 2015 (crossover)
• FORD TRUCK/VAN F250 SD 4WD 2003 (van)
• FORD TRUCK/VAN F250 SD 4WD 2006 (van)
• SUBARU IMPREZA 4P 2002 (sedan)
• TOYOTA TRUCK/VAN TUNDRA 4WD 2016 (van)
• JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMI. 2016 (SUV)

The main objective of the flights remains unchanged this year, or resale abroad.

Surprisingly, four stolen vehicles out of ten have a date of construction prior to 2010.
