The cartographer of Japan made a map of legal and illegal prostitution in Europe

News 23 October, 2017

Czech cartographer Jakub Marian noted on the map of Europe the places of legal and illegal prostitution. He also allocated the maximum penalty for doing dirty sex and explained who he can suffer — those who work in the industry or its clients. This became known from the media on 23 October.

According to the map, we can conclude that in the countries of Eastern Europe the penalty imposed only on sex workers, clients out there do not touch. In most countries, including the UK, without taking into account Northern Ireland, but also Spain and Italy, prostitution is translated into legal provision, but it is not regulated, but brothels are forbidden by law.

But in countries such as Austria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Turkey, the oldest profession permitted by law and is under the control of the government. In States that are marked in green, workers in the sex industry can officially register as self-employed professionals, and the brothels are like any business.
