A criminal case on the death of a young child who died because of the collapse of the ladder in Pulkovo airport, transferred to the Moscow district court.

The international airport is accused of criminal negligence during the execution of repairs of transport equipment, which led to tragic consequences.

The General Prosecutor said that the accused on 12 July last year, carried out repair work of passenger ramp and installed a homemade item that is significantly different from the original. As a result, this led to the collapse of the gangway under the passengers. When the ladder collapsed, 44-year-old woman with a little eight month old girl fell to the concrete with a three metre height. They were hospitalized with serious injuries. The child died in the hospital several days later from a traumatic brain injury.
