MONTREAL – The day on Sunday promises to be sunny, but extremely cold everywhere in Quebec, due to a mass of arctic air that will descend on the province.

A record-breaking cold could even be achieved for the region of the Saguenay, on Sunday.

The beginning of the week will be slightly different, with a slight effect “yo-yo” temperatures for southern Quebec.

Two systems in consecutive should be a cause for temperature fluctuations, for two or three days, from Monday. Temperatures are expected to rise temporarily, about five degrees above normal for the season.

Between 5 and 10 cm of snow are still expected, but in the south of Quebec it may well turn into rain because of the mild temperatures.
