The surete du Quebec has opened an investigation following the discovery Monday morning of a body of a man at the rest stop from Ulverton, in Estrie.

Police were called around 7 a.m. to get to the rest stop, located along highway 55.

At this place, they found the corpse of a man, whose identity has not been revealed.

At this stage of the investigation, the authorities consider this case as a “suspicious death”.

Technicians in the forensic identification of the Sûreté du Québec, as well as investigators of crimes against the person, are made on site in the morning to spend the scene with a fine toothcomb and try to understand the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

The mobile command post of the Sûreté du Québec has also been installed on-site to coordinate the investigation.
