On 23 November, a patient in cardiac arrest died during its transport from Bonaventure to the hospital of Maria. The CISSS had, therefore, decided to conduct an internal investigation, while the team in place at CLSC Paspébiac has refused to take the patient load. It has, therefore, been transported to Maria, a fifty-minute Paspebiac.

However, a survey conducted by the CISSS concluded that the patient had died at his home, before being carried on board the ambulance and that no link could be made between the death of the patient and the medical coverage of CLSC Paspébiac.

The circumstances of the death remain murky, the eyes of the coroner’s Office, which decided to investigate the circumstances of the death of the individual.

“Indeed, it is under investigation and it is Dr. Renee Roussel, who is in charge,” confirmed Chloe Constance Beaulieu, spokesman for the coroner’s Office.

“The investigation is done in order to clarify everything that has been conveyed by the CISSS and the paramedics and to clarify the causes of this death”, concludes the spokesperson.
