LAVAL | The Office of the independent surveys (EIB) has opened an investigation into the death of a man of 36 years occurred on Thursday afternoon during an intervention of the Service de police de la Ville de Laval.

According to information made public Thursday evening by the EIB, the intervention of the police was held within the framework of an investigation in the field of drugs.

During a search in a housing located on the 7th floor of a building, “the police in the intervention group would have made a dynamic entry” into the dwelling and a man “would have been rushed onto the balcony, where he would have launched an object,” said the EIB, by issuing a press release.

It is tempting to jump to another balcony on the same floor of the building that the individual would have been a fatal fall, his death having been found “shortly after”, is there shown.

The EIB, which dispatched 10 investigators to the scene, will seek to corroborate these preliminary information from police laval.
