QUEBEC – The ethics Commissioner and ethics has opened an investigation on the minister of Health Gaétan Barrette about his possible involvement in the postponement of a draft of pediatric care at the hôpital Pierre-Boucher in Longueuil, quebec.

The initiation of the investigation follows a request made by the spokesman of the parti québecois in health, Diane Lamarre. According to it, the minister Barrette would “[put] on hold, until after the general election, a draft of pediatrics at the Hôpital Pierre-Boucher because he was in an electoral district represented by an elected official of another political party”.

Ms. Lamarre has formulated its request for an investigation based on the information revealed by the show “Investigation” of Radio-Canada.

The minister categorically denies having forced the postponement of the project so as not to favor a county pq.

“To insinuate that the decisions are made according to the color of a county, I take it very personally, and I find it unacceptable,”-he said to “Investigation”.
