The Turkish authorities do not receive money from the EU for its accession to the Union. An appropriate verdict was accepted by the leaders of the Association at the meeting in Brussels.

According to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the EU authorities have asked the European Commission to create the necessary recommendations for the modification and reduction of assistance required for the entry of Ankara into the EU. Supported the funding of Turkey and the head of the Belgian government of Charles Michel. He believes that dialogue on the country’s accession to the European Union “frozen de facto”, so all the money destined for this purpose should be directed to other activities.

At the same time Merkel has proposed to continue the negotiations with Turkey. It suggested that the EU is not a unity on the completion of discussions on the accession of Ankara to the European community.

Earlier, the head of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan said about the dubious benefits of membership of his country in the EU. According to him, Ankara has disappointed in the unit, which for decades did not dare to accept the country. Authorities believe that the EU simply doesn’t want to see Turkey as its full partner.
