TORONTO – the body of The billionaire Bernard “Barry” Sherman, founder of the canadian pharmaceutical manufacturer Apotex, was found alongside that of his wife in their home in Toronto, confirmed the company’s Friday night on Twitter.

“We have been informed of the tragic news that Barry and Honey Sherman died unexpectedly. All members of Apotex are deeply shocked and saddened by this news and our thoughts, and our prayers are with the family at this time”, a-t-write.

The news had already been confirmed several hours earlier on the same social network by the ontario minister of Health, Eric Hoskins.

“I am without words at this moment, had written to the minister. My dear friends Barry and Honey Sherman were found dead. Human beings have great philanthropists, incredible, great leaders in the field of health care. One day very, very sad. Barry, Honey, rest in peace.”

For its part, the Toronto police still refused, in the evening, to confirm the identity of two corpses found Friday morning in a residence in posh sector of North York.

The family would be completely taken aback, according to the city councillor, Mike Feldman, who is a close relative of Barry Sherman and his wife Honey. The couple has four children. Mr. Feldman stated that members of the clan, Sherman told him that Barry Sherman had not shown up at work Thursday, and that nobody had news from his wife that day.

Mr. Sherman was also asked in recent months that an investigation in respect of the financing activities in which he had participated for the benefit of the liberal Party of Canada be abandoned. The first was held in August 2015, before the election of the prime minister, Justin Trudeau, and the guests had to pay 1500 $ each to be admitted to. Mr. Sherman would also have sold tickets to $ 500 cover for a dinner held on November 7, 2016, which involved the federal minister of Finance, Bill Morneau.

The fortune of Barry Sherman, aged 75 years, is estimated to 4.77 billion $ by the magazine “Canadian Business”, which makes it the 15th Canadian the more rich. Sherman had sold their house the way Old Colony last month, at a posted price of $6.9 million.

Apotex is the seventh-largest generic drug the world, one can read on the website of the company. In total, the company employs more than 11, 000 employees and worldwide annual sales amounted to more than $2 billion.
