Ballou Tabla, the Impact, is chased by Hernan Grana, of the FC Dallas during the first half of the game between the two teams Saturday.

Against an opponent more formidable, the Impact has been unable to make a second step forward this week, while montreal lost 2-1 against FC Dallas on Saturday.

The Impact defeated the Union in Philadelphia 2-1 on Wednesday, but FC Dallas is a much better training, who had arrived in Montreal in second position in the Western conference. The Blue-white-black therefore has not been able to get closer to the sixth and last place giving access to the playoffs in the East.

Michael Salazar has hit the target in a third consecutive game this season for the Impact (6-7-6), who received a first setback at home since the 13th of may last (4-0-0). Cristian Colman managed a brace for FC Dallas (9-3-7).

Ignacio Piatti (knee) and Patrice Bernier (national selection) have started the game on the bench of the team, but they were available for the first time since the 27th June last. Piatti and patrice Bernier have made their entry into the game at the same time, in the 59th minute.

Defender Laurent Ciman (hip) was not in the starting formation of the Impact. Hernan Bernardello was absent due to an injury and not a suspension, that has been cancelled due to the omission of the removal of a yellow card to his card for his good behaviour during five games in a row. Anthony Jackson-Hamel and Maxime Crépeau had obtained leave of absence after having participated in the Gold Cup within the canadian team.

The Impact will be back in action next Saturday, when he will visit the Red Bulls of New York.

The contrast of Colman

FC Dallas has multiplied the steep and dangerous in the first half, albeit without finding the back of the net. Each time that Hernán Grana or Michael Barrios sent the ball into the penalty area in montreal, their team-mates have had defender Kyle Fisher and his band.

The most beautiful opportunity of the visitors came in the 21st minute. With goalkeeper Evan Bush in a vulnerable position, Colman has taken on two occasions to send the ball into an open net. The back of the Impact Daniel Lovitz has, however, played the hero by stopping the ball with his head on the goal line. The times have not been very conclusive, but FC Dallas had long to say to the referee after the sequence, believing that the ball had crossed the line.

Two minutes later, Salazar has joined Matteo Mancosu on the right flank. Mancosu has then returned the ball into the surface of the visitors, and Salazar has made a mockery of the coverage of Carlos Gruezo to score a header.

Colman got his revenge early in the second half, allowing the FC Dallas match chances as early as the 52nd minute. The visitors have managed good combinations to the surface in montreal and Maximiliano Urruti joined Colman at the far post with a perfect center that could not be countered by three Impact players.

The impact defence was again surprised by Colman in the 62nd minute. Gruezo has joined Colman behind the defender Chris Duvall. Colman has mastered the relay with his chest before getting rid of Bush with a first key of the foot. He only had to outwit to new Duvall on his shot towards an open net.

With Piatti and Ballou Tabla on each side, the Impact has generated several threats later on. Goalkeeper Chris Seitz has saved FC Dallas, stopping a dangerous free kick from Blerim Dzemaili during the 89th minute.
