    Look at this article

The minister of the Family does not intend to put a moratorium in place on the closure of five child care school in a family environment, in Lanaudière, as requested by the parents affected by the measures of his ministry.

“It is a question of security. If he had anything happen, it would be the fault of the government. We are criticised for not having closed, ” recalled Luc Fortin.

    Inspections failed

The Journal reported Thursday that five day care centres for 5 to 12 years must close their doors within a month, after having received the visit of the inspectors of the ministry of the Family.

Their ratio of teacher-children far exceeded what the law allows, an educator for six children. Some services of care referred to were thirty children to two teachers.

“I’m open to what you have a reflection to modernize our practices. But to say that we can put an immediate moratorium on the application of the law, as requested by the parents, it would be their lie in the face, ” says Luc Fortin.

The member for Joliette, Véronique Hivon, is not of the same opinion.

    Transitional measure

“Waiting to repeat the act, I invite the minister to adopt a transitional measure to at least be able to finish the school year. “

For the vice-head of the PQ, it is completely absurd that childcare services are private should be subject to the same ratio of educator-child care centres for 0 to 5 years.
