Pending its official unveiling, Volkswagen has released four sketches which give us a good idea of what will look the next generation of the Jetta.

Built from the modular platform MQB, which is used in particular also to the Golf and the new Tiguan, the Jetta 2019 will take an image of modernized thanks to a line more slender, as well as a new grille, oversized.

Same thing for the interior, which now seems much more streamlined.

At least that is what one can deduce from the images published by the manufacturer. We will have the heart net in January next year at the opening of the auto Show in Detroit. It is here that Volkswagen is aiming to present its new Jetta in the world.

Unless a surprise, the Jetta 2019 will remain powered by a four-cylinder engine turbocharged 1.4-liter. The automatic transmission with six reports will be replaced by a new 8-speed transmissions, while a manual transmission will remain proposed as the basic option.

For 2017, the Jetta is offered from 16 395$. Recall that the Jetta will not be marketed as a model year 2018.
