While the police have put an end to research into the rivière des Prairies on Tuesday, the parents of little Ariel Jeffrey Kouakou continue to believe that their ten year old child, missing for over a week now, has been the victim of an abduction.

Since the beginning of this story, the parents of the boy maintained that he had been kidnapped and that they did not believe in the hypothesis of drowning. On Tuesday, they asked the police to continue to investigate and to focus their efforts in this direction.

The father of the little boy also asked the woman who would have last seen the boy to contact the members of the family, because they would love to talk to him.

“We miss him terribly. We really want to meet this person,” said Kouadio Frederic Kouakou.

This woman has already met with the investigators of the police Department of the City of Montreal.

Mr Kouakou has also requested the prime minister of Quebec to ensure that the police continue their investigation and are treating the case as a disappearance.

After a week of research, the father of the child said not to be discouraged, and wished to thank the volunteers and “all Quebecers” who support him and his family.
