Techno 28 July, 2017

Where when Sony takes advantage of the summer to properly put it upside down and hope that nobody will realize. Prepare your virtual wallet, and your eyes to cry it will rave severe.

It’s the announcement of the day, and it hurts the buttocks. In an official statement, Sony has unveiled a nice price increase for subscribers to the PS Plus service, which allows you to enjoy free games every month, for a subscription of a few euros. Concretely, from August 31st onwards, you will have to pay 10 € more per year to offer you the online service, and thus enjoy titles like Just Cause 3, available on the PS Plus subscription in August 2017. Prices range from € 49.99 to € 59.99 for an annual subscription, from € 19.99 to € 24.99 for a quarterly subscription, and from € 6.99 to € 7.99 for a subscription monthly. Not enough to expose you (normally), but this pretty increase does not really make fun.

Officially, Sony promises to increase prices to ensure an ever more qualitative service on PS4, which already offers to register to participate in the beta of the next update. On our side, we find that it smells nevertheless the smoke at full nose. By getting the message out in the middle of the summer holidays, the Japanese firm is more likely that subscribers do not see this price increase pass, and find themselves at the foot of the wall when the time comes. If you already subscribe to PS Plus, be prepared to see your subscription increase significantly. If you prefer to cancel everything, it is better to hurry to cancel your subscription before you are taken through the new rate structure.
