    DRUMMONDVILLE | precipitation of snow and rain expected Monday and Tuesday in the eastern Townships and Centre-du-Québec of concern to several residents of the Saint-François river.

    The flash flood waters of the Saint-François river last week during the warm spell has caused many damage.

    According to the forecasts of the Hydro-weather conditions, the precipitation of snow are expected in the night from Monday to Tuesday, while between 10 and 20 millimetres of rain are expected throughout the day Tuesday in the eastern Townships and Centre-du-Québec.

    Civil Security and the fire Department of Drummondville will monitor actively the level of the Saint-François river to prevent the formation of ice jams and the water level. “We will intensify surveillance round the river with the current of the coming night to ensure the circulation of water and ice”, explained Yves Beaurivage, Service of fire safety and civil safety of Drummondville.
