    The police Department of the City of Québec will install Thursday a command post to provide new information on the murder of Jonathan Audet, a case that dates back to there are more than seven years.

    The investigators of the SPVQ specify that the investigation into the murder of a young man for whom it had recovered the body on June 27, 2010 “has made progress” and is “on the point of coming to a close”. “Since 2010, there have been large technological advances and new information in the folder that we will conclude the investigation soon,” says the spokesperson for the police service David Poitras.

    The command post erected Thursday near the 1773 Elzéar Villeneuve, in the Saint-Émile, aims to achieve information of end that the police would never have received since the opening of the folder. The investigators will meet with the citizens on the spot between 11: 30 and 18: 30.

    Traces of violence

    The body of Jonathan Audet, who was then a 25-year-old, had been found on June 27, 2010 by a close. According to what had been written at the time, the police have found the body of the young man presented of injury by laceration. Of the maneuvers of resuscitation had been attempted during the transport of the victim to the hospital, but nothing could be done to save Audet.
