After having been far away by alcohol and the drug, a mother and her daughter to lead to two in this fight against the addictions that ate up the teenager.
Jessika Marie was only 11 when she tastes for the first time in the poison that will become his favorite, alcohol. Then, under the influence of her friends, she discovers other substances with a disconcerting ease. During the transition to the secondary, the problem is only growing, but she manages to hide it from his parents.
Already complicated, the relationship of Jessika with her mother deteriorates. “I walked away from my family. Already, me and my mother, we had a difficult relationship, well it was even more. I lied a lot, I handled, I did not speak ” acknowledges the young woman, now 17 years old.
Two years ago, she decided to take in hand, and undertakes, on its own initiative, a therapy closed six months.
The shock is brutal to his mother, Julie Gosselin, who is aware of the magnitude of the problem. Since then, the two women have a solidarity.
“It goes back a lot. I have not lived well. […] After [his] therapy, I invested all my time, it was just her. I said to myself : I missed my shot several years ago, there I’ll be there until the end of time, ” said Ms. Gosselin.
