If you have an eye of a lynx, or if you’re obsessed with the weather data, you’ve noticed that the Sun went down at 16: 12 yesterday. And it is recouchera at 16 h 12 later this afternoon. Yet, the Sun has set at 16 h 11 from 5 to 16 December. The winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, will be that the 21st of December, next Thursday.

That happens in the cosmos ? The Sun would it not supposed to fold at 16 h 10 ?

In fact, if the Sun sets later, it also rises later, making any attempt to gain a few precious seconds of clarity also in vain that voice of reason to Trump.

As well, this time it does day, 8 hours and 43 minutes (this figure and those that follow are valid for the region of Montreal). Thursday, during the shortest day of the year, we will have 8: 42 clarity; the Sun will rise at 7: 31 and will set at 16: 13.

Interesting fact: the sun will continue to rise after 7: 30 a.m. after the Solstice. We grugerons a minute at the sunrise only from the 5th of January, 15 days after the Solstice.

If the shortest day is 8: 43 pm, it will be clear for 15 h 41 during the summer Solstice of 2018, a difference of (almost) 7 hours (!). It is not surprising that the lack of sun we weigh in the winter!
