    A physical education teacher accused of distributing child pornography was released on bail Friday, but he can make a cross on the teaching.

    “You will not be able to have a paid job you are putting in a relationship of trust with young people under the age of 16 years,” said the prosecutor to the Crown, in the case of Denis Tiffou at the palais de justice of Montreal.

    The accused 50-year-old, who has taught in private college Stanislas at both the elementary and secondary education, seemed to be annoyed during its passage in court. He is accused of distribution of child pornography, as well as of accessing information and of having had in his possession.

    In addition to stop his or her employment, Tiffou has been banned from contact with minors or be placed in parks, pools or community centres. And until the end of the proceedings, it will be cut off from the internet.

    His relatives will also have to deposit a security deposit of $1000.

    Contacted by The Newspaper, the headmaster of the collège Stanislas said to have been notified of the case by the police and added that the management of the establishment was going to “leave the task of investigation.”

    “In the meantime, appropriate measures in such circumstances were already in place,” said the director Philippe Warin, without giving more details.
