The Volkswagen Jetta will not be marketed as a model year 2018.
At the dawn of a complete overhaul, the popular sedan of German will take a break before being completely redesigned for model-year 2019.
The new Jetta 2019 will be constructed from the modular platform MQB, which already serves several models of the brand, from the Golf to the Atlas by way of the new Tiguan. It is expected to arrive in dealerships next spring, according to information obtained from Volkswagen Canada.

A different strategy
If the Jetta 2018 will never be marketed in Canada, it is different for the u.s. market, where Volkswagen decided to produce a version 2018 until 2019.
Volkswagen USA has announced that the Jetta GLI 2018 does not contain more of the variant with manual transmission. In Canada, we have, however, confirmed that the Jetta 2019 will remain available in version GLI and that it will continue to offer a manual transmission. Good news for the purists!
Pending the renewal, the Jetta 2017 will remain available at dealerships in us. Its base price is set at 16 395$ that the GLI is rising up the invoice to 34 995$.
