It is not every day that we have the possibility to acquire a car that belonged to the founder of the brand. And even less when the manufacturer has assembled 51 cars.
Next January, RM Sotheby’s will conduct the auction of this exceptional car is presented as being the former personal car of Preston Tucker himself.
Of the 51 built, this is the 29th. We can see in the promotional film Tucker : The Man And The Car. It is one of the few copies which have been put to the test on the track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Mr. Tucker was retained until 1955 before selling it to Winthrop Rockefeller, who was then governor of Arkansas. The reason for the sale is, however, not mentioned.
She is later placed in the hands of a few collectors. Fortunately, it has never lost its trace, which has allowed Jay Follis of producing a complete history of the car.
To this day, the odometer shows only 19 199 miles, or about 30 to 900 kilometers.
