LOS ANGELES | Three people have been injured in an accident involving the motorcade responsible for the protection of the canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, in the night from Friday to Saturday, near Los Angeles, in the United States.
According to the american channel ABC News, a sport utility vehicle struck a police officer on a motorcycle who tried to block the traffic upstream of the convoy carrying Mr. Trudeau. The policeman of the us, has been transported to the hospital for serious injuries, we do not fear, however, for his life. The driver of the vehicle and his son were also brought to the hospital for minor injuries, according to ABC.
The vehicle carrying the prime minister, however, has not been involved in the accident and was able to continue its journey. Mr. Trudeau came to the presidential Library of Ronald Reagan, where he had made a speech on canada-u.s. relations.
Mr. Trudeau had to travel to Los Angeles Saturday morning to meet with the city mayor, Eric Garcetti.
