SAINTE-MARIE | Contrary to what is claimed by the CAQ, the minister Dominique Vien is not in danger in Bellechasse, ensures Philippe Couillard, who rather believes that the re-election of André Spénard is compromised in Beauce-Nord.

“You see that, Mr. Couillard seems to want to help a minister in difficulty, in the county of Bellechasse”, said Thursday the deputy caquiste Simon Jolin-Barrette, while the liberal leader was on a tour to taste of elections in the region of Chaudière-Appalaches.

“So good news, replied Mr. Couillard, in the margin of a visit to a business in Saint-Henri-de-Lévis, Friday. We will in the county of Beauce-Nord is also in danger, which will not be caquiste after the next election!”

The prime minister, who began the day with a lunch with the people of Bellechasse in a restaurant in Saint-Henri-de-Levis, then traveled in metal Products Bussières, who was adopted a year ago the “model company released”, without a hierarchy.

“I see it for the first time in my life. Within a year or two, you’ll see that it’s everywhere in Quebec,” is packed Philippe Couillard, to the sides of the minister responsible for the Chaudière-Appalaches, Dominique Vien.

After a coffee to Scott, the prime minister was moved to Sainte-Marie for dinner with socio-economic actors of Beauce-Nord.

    Majorities comparable

The constituency is represented for six years by the member caquiste André Spénard. The latter was succeeded in 2012 to the adéquiste January Grondin, who was a member of the national Assembly from 2003 to 2012.

In the last election, Mr. Spénard has rafflé the support of one voter in two, which ensured his re-election with a majority of over 4220 votes over his nearest opponent, liberal.

This is a result similar to that harvested by Dominique Vien in Bellechasse (49 % of the votes, majority of 5, 172 votes).

“I have never taken for granted Bellechasse. Ever. […] It must not be triumphalist no more”, commented Ms. Vien, during his tour with the prime minister.

Asked to respond, Mr. Spénard thanked Mr. Couillard came in his county. “Beaucerons are always happy to welcome the prime minister, who comes almost never in the Beauce,” ironisé mp caquiste of Beauce-Nord.
