A new configuration will be effective from Monday, on highway 15, heading north, between The Île-des-soeurs and Montreal.
In the morning, during rush hour, the bus traveling on the hov lane “integrate now in the left lane of highway 15, north on the bypass bridge in the direction of the traffic”, explained the consortium’s Signature on the St. Lawrence river, responsible for the realization of the corridor of the new Champlain bridge.
The bus will then integrate into the traffic to go to the right lane, before exiting on a ramp reserved to the boulevard Gaétan-Laberge, in the direction of the city centre.
In the late afternoon, the left lane on the highway in the direction north will be closed to traffic, in order to make it available for buses heading south. Traffic lights will be installed on the bypass bridge between Île des Sœurs and Montreal to allow buses to cut the traffic to reach the hov lane.
