The american president Donald Trump bragged Wednesday, having lied to Justin Trudeau. He said he was proud to have conferred the prime minister of canada Justin Trudeau in his place, even if he didn’t have the right information.

According to the audio recording of a meeting with his supporters obtained by the Washington Post, Trump reported on a mocking tone of a discussion he had recently with Mr. Trudeau about trade between Canada and the United States.

“He was so proud, so I said: “Wrong, Justin, you have a [trade deficit].” I had no idea!” said Donald Trump.

Trump has used pejoratively terms “nice guy” (“guy”) or “good-looking guy” (“handsome man”) to refer to Justin Trudeau.

The american president would have even asked one of his employees to check the words of the canadian prime minister. “I couldn’t believe it.” His employee would be returned by confirming the position of his boss. “Well, sir, you’re right. We do not have a deficit, but this does not include the energy and the wood, and, when they are included, we lose $ 17 billion per year. This is unbelievable!” he concluded.

However, according to an economic report from the u.s. government, the United States would not have trade deficit with Canada, contrary to what Donald Trump has advanced Wednesday to his supporters.
