Turkey is preparing reforms in the sphere of tourism, as the laws enacted in the 70-ies, when the number of tourists was less than a million a year, needs adjusting. This was stated by the head of the Board of Directors of the international tourist OTI holding Ayhan Bektas.

Turkey is visited annually by 40-50 million tourists, and therefore the need to introduce changes with a view to regulating the investment of tour operators and support tourism. To make these reforms is planned in cooperation with the civil society and government that will help to achieve reliable and sustainable structure.

The laws of the tourism sector, which operate in Turkey to this day, no longer correspond to reality, since it is not able to monitor all the tourist traffic.
