Ukraine is profiting from the trains to the capital “aggressor” – Moscow : the World : Vladim

Trains from Kiev and Odessa to Moscow were the most profitable destinations in Ukraine up to 2017. Information about this was shared by the representatives of the local press, citing a source in “Ukrzaliznytsya”.

On average, a train in the Russian capital, is filled to 77 percent. In the Treasury he brings to 154 million per year (which on the current exchange rate is about 330 million rubles). Second in importance was the following from Odessa to the same point of the route. At higher occupancy rates (up to 89%), income amounted to 98 million (212 million).

The most profitable domestic route for Ukraine – Kiev – Odessa. Revenues amounted to 47 million. Fifth place received the composition from Kiev to Saint Petersburg. At the same time, overall passenger traffic long-distance trains in Ukraine are unprofitable line of the budget. The total loss for the year 2017 is estimated at 3.5 billion hryvnia, equivalent to 7.5 billion rubles.
