CORNWALL | So that the capacity of reception of migrants is putting a strain in Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, camping Cornwall, Ontario, is ready to receive asylum-seekers.
Some 300 migrants are already at the centre of temporary accommodation of the NAV Centre. They will soon be able to take advantage of the tents erected by the canadian armed Forces to the camp of Cornwall.
In total, 500 people should be able to be hosted on this field.
“It remains to complete the services such as electricity, heating or toilets. It should be finished next week”, told TVA News that the lieutenant Karyn Mazurek, of the canadian armed Forces.
Inspections of the fire department will also have to take place before the official opening of the camp.
