At age 85 (and a half), Roland Lachance, better known under the name of Roland of Quebec, can boast of having photographed the biggest stars in the world… evidence to support!
His apartment of the rue Racine in Loretteville reflects meetings that he has made throughout his career as a photographer, an occupation he still holds today with passion.
Hundreds of photos line the walls (and even ceilings) without counting the millions of photographs, negatives, and CD piled up in a jumble in various rooms of his dwelling or stored in boxes.
Despite his age, Roland Lachance remembers the approximate year, the circumstances and the names of the people who have posed in front of his goal.
One of the fascinating aspects in this self-taught photographer is how it has adapted to the great technological change in almost 70 years of career. He admits candidly that it does not yet know all the functions of his digital camera, but like the rest of his life, he said, learn by trial and error.

According to him, what distinguishes it from other photographers is that he wants to print his photos in the double, in order to give one to each of his subjects. Attention, which seems to have charmed more than one.
His way of approaching figures, he was also allowed to form relationships of friendship with several of them.
Today, Roland de Québec is still active on the ground and photographed all day. The octogenarian also has an account in Facebook that he feeds on a daily basis with her photos, which makes it vibrate and, according to his words, keeps his heart as young as his debut.
