The centre and the north of Québec are covered by the cold weather alerts issued by Environment Canada for the day on Saturday.
This warning includes the North Shore, the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, the north of the Mauricie and Gaspésie national park. The felt temperature could reach up to -45 degrees Celsius, for a maximum of -35 to -38 degrees, according to the region.
In Montreal, the weather will be more clement, with a maximum of -9 degrees and a 40 per cent chance of flurries. These showers are expected to continue Sunday, with an expected buildup of 5 cm. The temperature should also rise to reach a maximum of -1 degrees on Sunday.
