SEVEN-ISLANDS | IN a month of the opening of the fishery, factories of transformations of seafood are in search of labour.

In Sept-Îles, the fish Fortier and Brothers have managed to fill almost all of the temporary positions through multiple announcements and publications in social networks and local media.

Plant transformations of the crab Umek, including the needs of workforce are much more important, the salary scale has been adjusted this year to attract candidates. The base salary is increased from 12 to 15 $. Transport service for employees is available.

The management also tries to improve the image of factory work, considered as arduous. The director notes that the technological improvements made to the plant will help improve the working conditions in addition to increasing productivity.
