The season 9 of 24 hours chrono, Live Another Day, ended on a cliffhanger that has not been followed, and the renaissance 24 : Legacy only lasted for 12 episodes as a result of the hearings mediocre, but the Fox is holding on to the countdown timer worship. For some time, this is not one, but two series which are developed around the concept of the original series, created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, in 2001.

IndieWire reveals that this series derived from 24 heures chrono will be a prequel centered on Jack Bauer, the hero played by Kiefer Sutherland during nine seasons and a tv movie, Redemption. The series will follow the arrival of Jack to the CTU, the anti-terrorist cell ubiquitous in the series.

A spin that allows you to bring (in theory) the fans, more attached to the character, the concept, while avoiding having to extend a big cheque for Kiefer Sutherland, who is now 51 years old. A choice that also allowed the writers to get rid of the intrigues of Live Another Day, where Jack ended up in the hands of the wicked Russians to save Chloe. This new series would be made up of less than 24 episodes
