Someone has truly convinced that a reboot of Charmed must exist. After a project announced in 2013 on CBS, but quickly abandoned, the chain CW is materialized : the pilot officially ordered in January has found one of his actresses. This is Melonie Diaz, view in Fruitvale Station, The Belko Experiment or Be kind, rewind ! of Michel Gondry.
Melonie Diaz will play so Mel, described as an activist passionate, a feminist who is very committed and a lesbian. She is the second sister, the one who has the power to stop the time as Piper, the character of the original series played by Holly Marie Combs. It therefore remains to be caster the eldest daughter Macy who, like Prue, have the gift of télékynésie, and Madison, the small last, able to read minds, and transformed into a student athletic. It will be a nerd fan of science in the reboot.

Charmed version of the CW was originally headed by Jennie Snyder, who created the hit series Jane the Virgin. The story had to take place in the 70s, around three witches who have no blood link. The project has been reworked to take place in a contemporary setting, and become a series more funny and light, centred on three sisters who discover they are witches. With the emphasis on the side of feminist history.
Created by Constance M. Burge and produced by Aaron Spelling, the original series Charmed lasted for eight seasons, from 1998 to 2006. The trio has changed at the end of the third season, following the departure of Shannen Doherty : Rose McGowan is arrival as the fourth sister forgotten.
In the series comeback of witches, Netflix is developing a reboot of Sabrina, the teenage witch : the new version will be decidedly serious and dark, with Kiernan Shipka, who plays the daughter of Don Draper in Mad Men. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is expected to arrive in 2018.
