Castle Rock : the series of Stephen King and J. J. Abrams will unveil at Comic Con for the first

Expected to be one of the flagship series of this year to 2018, of Castle Rock, will present its first episode at the next Comic Con.

The name may be telling you something vaguely (laughs) because there’s the word “comic” in it, and that it must necessarily speak of comics, with Marvel and DC and the whole gang. It is not entirely false, since in the original it is a convention of comics, founded in 1970 by a small group of residents of San Diego.

Today it is a cultural event and media coverage has grown considerably and has extended its sphere of pop culture. Movies, series, cartoons, manga, video games, science fiction, Comic Con has become the showcase “geek” of the hollywood studios and a gathering not to be missed.

They don’t seem to want to be messing around

As a reminder, this year the Comic Con of San Diego will take place from 15 July to 22 July. Among the expectations, the Warner Studio and its very first trailer ofAquaman, and among other things, Hulu who also plans to do his show. In addition to disclosing its panel series for the coming year, it is especially to Castle Rock that will appeal to the audience. According to the website Deadline, the approach to the Comic Con, they have decided to launch a small carrot to the fans by announcing that they would present the pilot of the series on July 20, during their demonstration.

For the event, it could be that a few stars of the series are present at the first, in which Sissy Spacek and Bill Skarsgård. On the other hand J. J. Abrams may be the great absent of the convention, since the latter is currently shooting Star Wars : Episode IX in England in the studios of Pinewood.

It is not very respectful mademoiselle

In case, if you are interested in this series is a little dark and enigmatic, it reminds you briefly what J. J. Abrams had revealed the plot during the show of Jimmy Fallon :

“Castle Rock is the town that Stephen King has made famous in his various books. And these two writers, Dustin Thomason and Sam Shaw, came up with this idea incredibly cool, terrifying, strange, and very entertaining, a series of new stories, which take place in this city. And all the characters of Stephen King resident device. When he spoke, it became crazy.”

A series that we are well looking forward to this summer. We find, moreover, an excellent casting with Andre Holland, Bill Skarsgård, Sissy Spacek, Terry O Quinn, Scott Glenn or the young Jane Levy (Don’t Breathe – The House of darkness). Castle Rock will be broadcast for the time being the 25th of July on Hulu in the United States. For the moment, we do not know its release date in France.
